چکیده
Abstract Quercetin is a plant flavonol from the flavonoid group of polyphenols or can also be formulated as synthetic supplement chemically. Approximately 80 % people in Africa and other developing nations still depend on traditional herbal remedies to treat ailments. has been demonstrated have variety anticancer effects. However, effect quercetin oral cancer cells remains rare. According our systematic review, includes anti-cell viability, survival proliferation. possesses an anti-metastatic by regulating expression epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition-related genes cells. The apoptotic probably via inducing cell surface death receptors, endoplasmic reticulum stress mitochondria-mediated signaling pathways. Additionally, reduces drug resistance KB/vincristine enhances sensitivity vincristine treatment. induces apoptosis human SAS through inhibits metastatic ability transition-mediated pathways squamous carcinoma. anti-tumour agent candidate inhibit tumour metastasis. Indeed, efficacy against chemically induced carcinoma elucidated.

The Anthelmintic Drug Niclosamide Induces Apoptosis, Impairs Metastasis and Reduces Immunosuppressive Cells in Breast Cancer Model
Breast carcinoma is the most common female cancer with considerable metastatic potential. Discovery of new therapeutic approaches for treatment of metastatic breast cancer is still needed. Here, we reported our finding with niclosamide, an FDA approved anthelmintic drug. The potency of niclosamide on breast cancer was assessed in vitro and in vivo. In this investigation, we found that niclosami...
متن کاملQuercetin induces necrosis and apoptosis in SCC-9 oral cancer cells.
Evidence has accumulated that dietary polyphenols, in particular, flavonoids, have protective effects against oral cancer. In this study, we have examined the effects of quercetin, a major dietary flavonoid, on cell growth and necrosis/apoptosis and cell cycle regulation in human oral squamous carcinoma SCC-9 cells. Quercetin induced dose- and time-dependent, irreversible inhibition of cell gro...
متن کاملQuercetin induces cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in CD133+ cancer stem cells of human colorectal HT29 cancer cell line and enhances anticancer effects of doxorubicin
Objective(s):The colorectal cancer stem cells (CSCs) with the CD133+ phenotype are a rare fraction of cancer cells with the ability of self-renewal, unlimited proliferation and resistance to treatment. Quercetin has anticancer effects with the advantage of exhibiting low side effects. Therefore, we evaluated the anticancer effects of quercetin and doxorubicin (Dox) in HT29 cancer cells and its ...
متن کاملVitamin K3 Induces Apoptosis of Human Oral Cancer Cells and Reduces Metastatic Potential
Oral cancer is the most common in men and women in India, due to ethnic or geographical factors and increased addictive habits such as tobacco chewing, smoking and alcoholism Byakodi et al. (2012). Oral cancer is known to exhibit multiple primary tumor formation, a phenomenon known as ‘field cancerization’, which leads to low survival rate in patients Hsu et al. (2004). In addition to this, ora...
متن کاملOpium Induces Apoptosis in Jurkat Cells
Background: The direct effect of some opioids on immune cells has been demonstrated. The aim of this study was to assess the apoptotic effect of opium on Jurkat T lymphocyte cells. Methods: Different concentrations of opium (2.86 × 10-3 to 2.86 × 10-11 g/ml) were added to 24-well plates containing 5 × 105 Jurkat cells. Apoptotic events were assessed after 6, 24, and 72 hours by flow-cytometric...
